Yggdrasil is a poor desert world with no free-standing water.
- It is a client state of the Third Imperium in the Yggdrasil Subsector of Trojan Reach Sector.
Description (Planetology)[edit]
It is the terminus of the Florian Route, which links trade from the Imperium to the Florian League.
Point of Interest: "World Ash" Space Elevator[edit]
The World Ash of Yggdrasil is a space elevator composed of six thousand kilometers of carbon nanotube and glassteel, which rises from a mountain on the equator into orbit.
- The royal family have their celestial palace on the counterweight atop the elevator.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Yggdrasil is a poor, desert Imperial Client State located in the Yggdrasil Subsector of the Trojan Reach.
- Yggdrasil is ruled by the Golden Queen, who traces her lineage to the rulers of the Sindalian Empire.
- When the empire fell, one of the rulers fled to Yggdrasil and started the current royal line.
The Imperium made brief contact with Yggdrasil in 151, during an attempt to find a route across the Great Rift.
- More substantial recontact occurred two generations later.
- Yggdrasil, with its space elevator and high-capacity starport was the ideal place for the Imperium to establish a trading post.
