Weregre

A Minor Race native to Weregre (Numbis 2032). The Weregre are an unusual Human population integrated into the Hive Federation.

The Weregre are a Minor Human Race. They are partially Vilani, interbred with transplants from Human populations in Leonidae, Crucis Margin and the Hinterworlds.

History and Background

Circa -1800, the Hivers discovered the Human society on Weregre. They were already aware of Humaniti, and through trade connections had second-hand knowledge of the Rule of Man, but this offered them their first real opportunity to study Humans extensively, both socially and biologically.

Linguistics

There are at least seven distinct Weregre languages. Three appear to have been heavily adapted from Vilani, two others belong to Solomani language families, and the last two borrow words and constructions from both. One of these is known as Wileg-thass, a common trade language.
