This system is part of the Vestra Triad, three systems isolated by the Prosaira Deep.

History & Background (Dossier)

Throughout the Long Night, mining outposts in Varan's Belt supplied Vestra and Polacci with raw materials, and the three worlds retained a single interstellar government. The declining colony on Polacci was evacuated around -750, other than an ore transhipment base, but the industries of the Belt continued to thrive. In -100 or so, however, political troubles on Vestra resulted in the population of Varan's Belt declaring independence.

Vestra itself subsequently balkanized as a result of the aforementioned political crisis.

Several of Vestra's nations have since colonised agricultural Coriander.

It is believed that the Castran Marauders pirate band can, at need, summon regular naval vessels from Vestra.

World Starport (Sp)

Vestra has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

Vestra has a population of 70,000,000 sophonts (tens of millions).
