The primary is Hoorn, an ordinary yellow main sequence star. It has a luminosity of 0.778 Sols, a mass of 0.96 Sols, and a diameter of 1.299 million km. The inner system consists of (I) a vacuum inner world, and (II) a corrosive atmosphere inferno world. (III) a corrosive atmosphere inferno world orbits within the habitable zone. (IV) an exotic atmosphere bigworld, (V) Var Erran, designated the mainworld, (VI) a ringed large gas giant, (VII) a sparse icy planetoid belt, (VIII) a small gas giant, (IX) an exotic atmosphere radworld, and (X) a large gas giant form the outer system. Many of the worlds retain satellites.

(V) Var Erran is designated the mainworld. It orbits Hoorn at a mean distance of 3.06 AU (457.8 million km), within the outer system. It has an orbital period of 5 years 169 days and a rotation period of 68.5 hours. The axial tilt is 0 degrees. Var Erran has a diameter of 11,705 km, a density of 6.13 g/cm³, and a surface gravity of 1.02 G. The world is geologically active. Its atmosphere is rated as Exotic, with a mean surface pressure of 5.3 bar and a composition of 69% nitrogen (N₂), 28% carbon dioxide (CO₂), 2% methane (CH₄), and 1% argon (Ar), water vapor (H₂O), neon (Ne) and other trace gases. Approximately 21% of the surface is covered in seas of liquid carbon dioxide, kept fluid by the high atmospheric pressure and low temperatures: average tidal ranges rarely exceed 0.1m. Mean surface temperature: -187°C. The atmosphere is dynamic and strong weather systems driven by the star and the seas surge across the globe. The climate is static.
