The sophonts of this polity are driven by several motivations and goals: This polity is built up to compromise by finding common toughts, values and goals of their origin societies and cultures: Because they had a very high value of psionic active people (about 15%), it was clear psionics would be a central point. But the very high uniformity and the centralization of power to the psionics of the Zhodani culture wouldn't work with a society of Ral Ranta and Solomani.

They find some common goals:

  • Promote prosperity, happiness, and stability within the Protectorate.
  • Encourage and promote the use of Psionics.
  • Personal Freedom and Indepency

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

It is said that this Polity was founded about 817 during the Psionic Suppression of the Imperium, by the survivors of a Jump Accident. Involved in this accident were the imperial prison ship IS HSP7A build on an old, modified and updated 22.000t Zirukaruna class Battleship, which was highjacked in an unbelivable action by the Ral Rantan Crew of the ship Glaseyes revenge a Ral Rantan Siz Doymak class Xebic to free aboout 890 of their people imprisoned by the imperium. Indepently there were involved the Zhodani Consular Corvette Shialtlasche, a Type ZHG class Council Cruiser; which had the mission to meet with the Gallipoli, a 11.000t modified old and outdated New Brooklyn class Reconnaissance Cruiser, who was rescuing Members of the imperial psionic society, financed by the Zhodani and 2 Imperial Corvettes, trying hunting down the Ral Rantans with the Prison ship.

By meeting the Ral Rantan "formation" the Zhodani accidently experienced, that the ships inhabits thousends of people who were imprisoned because of their psionic avtivities, within the imperium, with a significant high amount of strong or very strong level..

During the meeting with the colony ship, 2 Imperial Corvettes appear, during the Battle those Imperial Ships were destroyed and they went to flee. The jump drive of the prison ship was damaged and because of the unducated crew not detected. Instead of making a normal 3 Parsec Jump, it's realeses the Energy at once in a big bubble entangling the othes ships. Within Faster than Light Speed, the others launced their Jump Prorams with timely delay of miliseconds, each after the other, the Bubble was stabilized and pushed through the space, destroying all 4 Jump Drives and ending up in a system with 2 inhabitable planets.

Believing they were in the leading position, the ral rantan were "light and softly moderated and moderated" to do exactly what the Zhodani wanted the to do. The great Reunion Council decided first, to keep the "unhonorable" Criminals (meaning all criminals whic are not Ral Rantan or imprisoned by "strong and dangerous anti-imperial behaviors (mostly the psionics)" , like murderers, controlles at another planet. With the rest they wanted to Build up an Society and find a way back.

First in the shadows they establish important structures and tested nearly 100% of the newborn. Within one generation they trained about 92% of the Society, establishing hidden power structures. with establishing the Pscionic games the end the "hidden" existence and overtake the prepared power structures.

As compromise and for more acceptance they promote Intendants according to the recommended level of the imperial psionic institute. About 80% of the whole population were at least intendenants level, but only the best could win the games, and the noble status sdtayed the same. to keep acceptance high, they established a second parliament which has also part of law-making process, the executive is still with the psionic nobles

Within the 400 years there were many compromises found to get the society closer together. the used the very best of each culture to combine it, meaning also they are not uniform as the Zhodani are.

There are nearly no native of their origins, they encountered and included 3 others species and are have now about 150 million sophonts, with about 38 million Chuscos living distributed on 17 systems in 4 subsectors in the center of 4 Sectors. Tecnically they evolved to TL 11, not sufficient to visit the old worlds of their origin and currently this is only a formal goal.

With them living the Mirami, the Birma and the In addition they had encountered a population of chirper.

At the End it is in grammar and structure a spanish with many words and symbols from vilani; anglic; spanish; Zdetl and very few and very special expressions in Ral Rantan. Because of the very diverse social structures, also pure languages are a sign of affiliation and are taught at school.

The United Protectorate is characterized as having a high degree of centralization, which sets uniform policies that direct the entire multi-system state and disregards local/planetary differences. The United Protectorate government is usually classified as a Democratic Republic as a republic of councils a form of a Unitary State.

The Councils are the place for rule discussions. Each Council discuss inside controversly and feely, also they discuss freely during the great council. There is no psionic protection allowed. politic is made inside the council walls and not discussed outside.

Competition of the Professions[edit]

Other than in other cultures, in this culture, the first must not be necessarily the winner. An example: The Dueling Competition within the Military Sports, the rule says until the first blood. If now the winner killed his oponent, he is disqualified completly and banned from the games for this competition. He did not proved mastering his or her weapon. Just proving brute force is nothing what they want. This is the same base rule for all competitions.

At the end this very similiar to the Zhodani Psionic Games. Because the testing is with about 8 (terran) years, the strength of the new intendants is known long before the games happen. Since their 8 Birthday they are in training. They will be leaders, so they have to be educated. All on Top to the normal School Education. Psionic, Strategy, Tactics, Politics, History and competitions. they learn from the beginning to "play" against.
