Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
A terraforming effort by the Ancients gave life to the world 300,000 years ago. Now Turan is devoid of all but the hardiest life and is reliant on subterranean aquifers. Its oxygen content is slowly decreasing.

About a quarter of the population are associated with a government settlement, run by Zhodani Nobles and Intendants. Turan is not an official member of the Colonnade Province, but with Zhodani troops protecting the small starport, it is a closely aligned client state. The population living in the deserts beyond the downport are outside the official jurisdiction.
World Starport[edit]
Turan has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which includes amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
