The Threep of Othsekuu (Lishun 2013) are a technologically sophisticated Minor Non-Human Race with a Non-humanoid appearance.
Description (Specifications)[edit]
The Threep are an upright, trifold sophont with three legs, three arms with three-fingered hands, and a head with three faces. They are considerably more agile than they look.
Their hearing is inferior to that of humans, and they compensate with loud, booming voices.
Threep also have the ability to sense the lifeforce of others; they are not psionic, but are sensitive to the presence or general disposition of other beings in their proximity.
Reproduction[edit]
They have six sexes, and a full reproducing unit involves all six in a ring, though they also pair up for companionship. A family group is a pod, and they often live and work together.
All six participants will become gravid if mating is successful. Eggs hatch after about six months. At adolescence, Threep form their pod of six, though they may not actually breed for some time.
Language[edit]
Humans often feel that Threep words have a "bouncy" feel. Threep names are almost always a single syllable, usually translating into Galanglic with four or five letters and very often a double vowel sound. Because Threep have booming voices, these double vowel sounds are rather explosive.
