T'azhqava has both an unbreathable thin atmosphere and a lack of surface water, making habitation by sophonts difficult. The system supports a population of fewer than 10,000 sophonts. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Zeda Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Amec Trade Protectorate and the Domain of Vland. T'azhqava, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight, a member of the Imperial Landed Nobility who acts as an Imperial representative to the world. This world contains an Imperial Scout Base, capable of handling Scout Service starships and personnel. During the Long Night this world was named Udgi. The Nahuatl name of the world is Tlacaelel.

History and Background[edit]

T'azhqava is an Amec Trade Protectorate training ground where its marines and Qualimala are trained in Vacuum conditions and zero-g combat. While the starport around Tlacaelel Down is open to the public, visitors are warned that the entire planet, outside the IISS research station and Imperial consulate, is run on strict military discipline with no court of appeal.

World Starport (St)[edit]

T'azhqava has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which features amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.

  • Tlacaelel Down.

World Population (P)[edit]

T'azhqava has a population of 800,000,000 sophonts (hundreds of millions).

Linguistic Topography[edit]

The following languages are among the most commonly used here:

  • Anglic: One of the two official languages of the Third Imperium.
  • Karanga: A Terran-derived language that is a secondary tongue within the Amec Protectorate.
  • Nahuatl: A language with its roots in ancient Terra, now used as the primary language of the Amec Trade Protectorate.
  • Sall: The predominate language of Bolivar (Dagudashaag 0240), spoken as a common second language in the Trade Protectorate.

The planet's Nahuatl name is Tlacaelel.

Although the current Nahuatl designation is not official, it is included in order to assist travellers who may find it beneficial to use this planetary designation while travelling within the Federation. It is strongly recommended that visitors obtain a good quality translator MemClip prior to entering Federation space. INDISS produce a high quality Galanglic-Nahuatl two-way clip available from all good data libraries, price Cr. 150 rrp.

World Technology Level (T)[edit]

T'azhqava possesses a Technology Level of TL–9.

  • Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Fiber optics and satellite communication and data networks.
  • Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Early fusion power.
  • Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
    • Land: Ultra high-speed trains and early grav vehicles.
    • Water: High efficiency sailcraft, multihulled seacraft, improved artificial gills.
    • Air: Tiltrotorcraft, exotic VTOL's, PARWIG, and rocket-assisted suborbitals.
    • Space: SSTO spacecraft, early military spacecraft (System Craft), and interstellar STL starships
    • FTL: Prototype Jump Drive-1.

World Government (G)[edit]

T'azhqava has a Balkanized Government. There is no central world government. The world has several governments competing for control of the world. These may be allies, cooperating, competitors, or at war with each other.

World Law (L)[edit]

T'azhqava has an extreme law level which covers every area of interaction. Laws are complex, detailed, and difficult to understand. Every interaction with the government requires an Advocate. Law enforcement is omnipresent and strict. Legal proceeding can take months to years to resolve and may involve dozens of people. A few worlds with this law level may be a Red Zone and others will be an Amber Zone. All objects specifically manufactured as weapons are typically regulated or prohibited (with no exception for private residences; visiting starships are only protected so long as they stay within designated starports and approach corridors). Civilian movement is rigidly controlled. Travel documents are frequently checked, and destinations must often be declared when traveling substantial distances across the world.
