Qualimala

A commercial organization and social class formed in 830 by the Amec Trade Protectorate.

The Qualimala are merchant-scouts formed to ensure the continued expansion of trade with the rest of the Imperium and to ensure that the Amec government’s share of the profit is maintained. This is important because the merchant houses pay their tribute (taxes) in merchandise. The Qualimala were created to continually expand the Protectorate's trading opportunities, and act as a means of exchange with the rest of the Imperium.

Qualimala are trained in vacuum conditions and zero-g combat at T'azhqava.
