Shunaagii is a preindustrial world.
- As a preindustrial world, this planet cannot yet manufacture enough high-technology resources to support a modern, star-faring society. Having to import most manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world.
- This world hopes to one day be one of the subsectors industrial powerhouses, but hasn't realized that dream yet. The leaders of this world are regularly embarking on trade missions to attract more investment capital, worker-immigrants, and other necessary stepping stones to achieve this goal.
- It is a member of the Third Empire of Gashikan in the Namirkika Subsector of Trenchans Sector.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
World Starport (St)[edit]
Shunaagii has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which includes amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
World Population (P)[edit]
Shunaagii has a population of 50,000,000 sophonts (tens of millions).
- The population consists primarily of Humans of mixed Yilean descent.
World Languages[edit]
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Shunaagii possesses a Technology Level of TL–9.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Fiber optics and satellite communication and data networks.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Early fusion power.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land: Ultra high-speed trains and early grav vehicles.
- Water: High efficiency sailcraft, multihulled seacraft, improved artificial gills.
- Air: Tiltrotorcraft, exotic VTOL's, PARWIG, and rocket-assisted suborbitals.
- Space: SSTO spacecraft, early military spacecraft (System Craft), and interstellar STL starships
- FTL: Prototype Jump Drive-1.
World Government (G)[edit]
Shunaagii has a Balkanized Government. There is no central world government. The world has several governments competing for control of the world. These may be allies, cooperating, competitors, or at war with each other.
As a member of the Gashikan Empire, this world has a Velja. A planet's Velja has veto power over all decisions made by the planetary government relating to space travel, defense, or interactions with other worlds.
Information and Media[edit]
The Ministry of Information and Safety (MIS) is technically an arm of the imperial Gashikan government, but in many ways it behaves independently. The Ministry's ostensible mission is to prevent the spread of damaging Vargr propaganda, and to promote peace and unity throughout the Empire. To accomplish these goals, its agents maintain careful control of all news and information.
World Law (L)[edit]
Shunaagii has a high law level with laws covering many areas of interactions of people, corporations, and the government. A few worlds with this law level may be Amber Zones. Any interaction with the judicial system requires an Advocate trained in the local legal system. Law enforcement is present almost everywhere, either as people or via technology. Legal proceedings can take weeks to months to resolve and involve a dozen or more people. All objects specifically manufactured as weapons are typically regulated or prohibited (outside private residences or visiting starships).
