The source being referenced gives very different backgrounds for Parrot Dragons:
- In the MegaTraveller Referee's Gaming Kit, published in 1989, the creatures are very much alive, living on a world filled with abundant native life.
- In Marc Miller's Agent of the Imperium, published in 2015, the creatures homeworld was scoured of all life in the year 501: Parrot Dragons and almost everything else that lived on their planet have been extinct for over 6 centuries.
