Description (Planetology)[edit]
Niizediju is located on the Vilani Main.
Stellar Data[edit]
Mainworld Data[edit]
Niizediju is rich in petrochemicals and valuable rare-earth minerals but conditions on the planet make resource extraction difficult.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Niizediju is a Big World between 13,600km and 15,200km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 1G and 1.3G. The horizon will appear about 5.4km away. Vessels with only 1G of thrust should avoid landing on this world.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Niizediju has an Insidious Atmosphere which requires the use of a Hostile Environment Suit or Vacc Suit, but extreme conditions cause the corrosive effects to defeat any personal protective measures in a few hours. TL–10 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Niizediju has 55-65% of its surface covered by liquid water. It has significant large liquid bodies. Wilderness refueling is possible.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
World Starport (Sp)[edit]
Niizediju has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
- There is an associated Imperial Naval Base.
Linguistic Topography[edit]
The following languages are among the most commonly used within this astrographic region:
- Core Anglic: One of the principal dialects of one of the two official languages of the Third Imperium.
- Vilani: One of the two official languages of the Third Imperium.
Urbanization[edit]
Much of the population lives in orbital cities, Lagrange-point habitats and on moons (both those of the mainworld and the system's gas giants). Those who live on Niizediju itself do so with the use of materials technology imported from Dana and Muudeshi.
