System Data[edit]

Tilden-Jaroo System[edit]

The primary is Tilden, a hot white main sequence star. It has a luminosity of 45.6 Sols, a mass of 2.66 Sols, and a diameter of 3.284 million km. The inner system consists of (II) a vacuum worldlet, (IV) a trace atmosphere inner world, (V) a corrosive atmosphere inferno world, and (VI) a very thin atmosphere hospitable world – orbital positions (I) and (III) are empty. (VII) Manaxa, an exotic atmosphere stormworld orbits within the habitable zone: (VIIa) Jaroo is its only major satellite and is designated the mainworld. (VIII) a small gas giant, (IX) a dense icy planetoid belt, (X) a ringed large gas giant, and (XI) a small ice giant form the outer system. Many of the worlds retain satellites.

(VII) Manaxa[edit]

(VII) Manaxa (UWP Y8A0000-0) is designated a stormworld. It orbits Tilden at a mean distance of 4.96 AU (742 million km), within the habitable zone. It has an orbital period of 6 years 283 days and a rotation period of 73.5 hours. The axial tilt is 16 degrees. Manaxa has a diameter of 13,137 km, a density of 5.65 g/cm³, and a surface gravity of 1.06 G. The world is geologically active. Its atmosphere is rated as Exotic, with a mean surface pressure of 1.25 bar and a composition of 97% nitrogen (N2), 2% carbon dioxide (CO2), and 1% argon (Ar), water vapor (H2O), azane (NH3), neon (Ne) and other trace gases. The world has no hydrosphere. Mean surface temperature: 73°C. The climate is rated as Very Hot and experiences minor seasonal changes during the local year. The atmosphere is very active and violent weather systems driven by the star scour the globe.

Mainworld Data[edit]

(VIIa) Jaroo[edit]

(VIIa) Jaroo is the only major moon of (VII) Manaxa and is designated the mainworld. It orbits its parent world at a mean distance of 20 diameters (260,000 km), with an orbital period of 14 days 6 hours: it is tidally locked to Manaxa. The axial tilt is 5 degrees relative to Manaxa. Jaroo has a diameter of 7,104 km, a density of 6.21 g/cm³ and a surface gravity of 0.63 G. Tidal stresses generated by the gravitational pull of Manaxa cause occasional geological activity. The atmosphere is rated as Standard, with a mean surface pressure of 0.85 bar and a composition of 78% nitrogen (N2), 21% oxygen (O2), and 1% argon (Ar), water vapor (H2O), carbon dioxide (CO2), neon (Ne) and other trace gases. Jaroo is a desert world: less than 1% of the surface is covered in lakes of liquid water. Mean surface temperature: 41°C. The climate is rated as Hot and is static, with no seasonal changes during the local year. The atmosphere is dynamic and strong weather systems driven by the star sweep across the globe.

Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]

Total surface area: 159 million km², Land surface area: 157.5 million km², Water surface area: 1.5 million km².

Native Lifeforms[edit]

Tilden-Jaroo System[edit]

Jaroo, the mainworld, has extensive native life, consisting of microscopic organisms, stromatolite-parallels and primitive flora that can be found in almost every ecological niche. Their metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.

No other world in the system is known to have native life.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

No information yet available.

World starport[edit]

Jaroo has a Class D Starport, a poor quality installation which has few of the expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.

World technology level[edit]

Jaroo possesses a Technology Level of TL–5.

World government[edit]

Jaroo has no central government for the world, an Anarchy. The largest governmental structure would be a family, tribe, or single clan. The largest group will be between 50 and 100 individuals, and there may be dozens to hundreds of them. This governmental structure can be stable over long periods of time if the population remains small or geographically separated.
