The Imperial CE class Air/Raft is a TL-9 Armored Fighting Vehicle.
- It is a Paramilitary vehicle and a Grav APC.
Description (Specifications)[edit]
This is a TL–9 militarized version of a civilian Air/Raft variant. It has a sealed environment with life support for all seven passengers and the three crew. The fully stabilized turret is -2 to hit in the EFP, if the vehicle moves more than 1/2 speed. It is armored to starship level hull plating considered safe for protracted protected forces operations. Dismounts would typically don vacuum suits or combat armor when available, just in case the armor was penetrated during the descent into a planet's atmosphere from orbit. They are faster than a standard Air/Raft, with greater passenger capacity.
Basic Vehicle Characteristics[edit]
Following the Imperial Army and IISS Universal Vehicle Profile and data, additional information is presented in the format shown here. The small craft factor indicates the number of squadrons (of ten craft) carried on the vehicle when applicable. Tonnage on the universal vehicle profile is shown in kilotons (thousands of tons) where necessary.

| 2. | Crew | ×3 crew: driver, gunner and commander | ||||||
| 3. | Performance | Movement: Maximum 1,736kph/1,447cm, Cruise 1,302kph/1,085cm, NOP 130kph/108cm. NOE is limited by the TL 9 Avionics and not the 333.33tons of thrust which provide 1.57 maneuver G's. Movement Effects on Fire: NE under 1/2 and -2 to hit EFF if move more than 1/2 speed | ||||||
| 4. | Electronics | Equipment: Map box, thermal image and image enhancement, Laser Sensor (7+), 100 Anti-Laser Aerosols, Extensive ECM, Map Box, 5,000 power radio, 30 power target acquisition RADAR, TL-9 flight avionics. | ||||||

| 6. | Armament | Weapons: The fully stabilized, turret mounted single lens pulse laser can engage 1 target/phase. The laser is fitted with TL–9 direct fire control and has a +2 signature when it fires. The pulse laser has an input/output of 6.67MW and there are storage batteries for 6.670125MW/seconds. The laser can be used to designate targets in a low power mode at ranges far beyond the limits of its fire control system. Its direct fire characteristics are:
Grenade Launchers: The turret also mounts a 4cm RAM Automatic Grenade Launcher, for infantry suppression and defeating light armor. It can engage 2 targets and has a +2 signature. It comes loaded with 1,600 HEAP 28 grenades, enough for 20 fire phases.

| 13. | Comments | Some of these are still found in the Osem system. |
TAC Missiles: There is a magazine-fed 50kg capacity launch tube in the turret. They use a 8.5kg HEAP 55 warhead and there is storage for 20 missiles for the launcher. The typical missile load-out is listed below. It takes one crew member to manually reload these missiles if additional rounds are available. The homing |missiles struggle to achieve intercepts against vehicles protected with advanced ECM abilities. The missiles listed below are included in the price. In general, these missiles can destroy most enemy vehicles they typically encounter but are hampered by their short engagement range.
| Type | Range | Price |
| (10) Homing Missiles | 16km or 6km +10DM Hypervelocity | Cr391.5 |
| (10) Target Designated Missiles | 16km or 6km +10DM Hypervelocity | Cr891.5 |
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Built to fit into a standard Air/Raft berth, the pack the fire power of a light Grav Tank and can carry a small squad of seven infantry dismounts. Platoons consist of five of these rafts. Ten platoons per lift infantry battalion. The extensive defensive electronic gear makes them stealthy and protects from detection and TAC missiles. A point defense variant has been proposed.
