Clan Hlyueawi

The Hlyueawi are an Aslan clan and member of the Tlaukhu. They are ranked sixth in the Hierate and lead the sixth-most powerful bloc in 1110 but are heading for a fall in (ca.) 1120.

The Hlyueawi are allied in a Tlaukhu power bloc with the Isoitiyro. Among their vassals are the Aroaye'i and Wahoti. The clan capital is Yolyetau/Keteaoirloah (Hlakhoi 3116); on Kusyu/Kilrai' (Dark Nebula 1226) the clan controls the city of Salya. One of the oldest and most influential prides is the Hreakhela' of Teaoiyekh/Staai (Dark Nebula 2839).

Originally a vassal to Hrawoao clan, the Hlyueawi rose to power during the Yerlyaruiwo-Tralyeaeawi War (614-693). Members of Hlyueawi were renowned experts in strategy and political science, a few of whom produced classical and widely read treatises on these subjects. The clan regularly provided advisors to the rest of the Yerlyaruiwo bloc. But during the growing instability of the war, Hlyueawi struck out on its own.

Through clever planning, the Hlyueawi arranged the fall of Uawairlew, a major clan also of the Yerlyaruiwo bloc, in 652 (6060 Aslan). It took over most Uawairlew assets, and replaced that clan on the seat among the 29. Hlyueawi quickly sided with the Isoitiyro to consolidate itself, swiftly gaining a respectable ranking.

Rebellion Era

The Hlyueawi were attacked by the Hlaotiyoiho in 1110. They opposed the expansionist blocs following the outbreak of the Rebellion and lost so much support that the Hlaotiyohio were eventually able to replace them on the Tlaukhu (dropping then to less than 29th in rank). They had holdings in the Trans-rift, but by 1120 were losing or had lost them to the Hlaotiyoiho.

New Era

Iheihoarla Subsector of Touchstone is contested by the Hlyueawi from their main power base in neighboring A Ekhyolyooul, and a coalition of minor clans led by the Hkoihawuil, a former Khaukheairl vassal clan. The Hkoihawuil clan has an enmity with Hlyueawi going back centuries.
