Gateway-Sardis Run

An independent trade route in the Gateway Sector. It connects the Galian Federation (with its capital of Gateway) to the sector's trailing nations, most significantly the Megusard Corporate (with its capital at Sardis).

The Galian Federation maintains links to Megusard (and the Renkard Union beyond it) via the Gateway-Sardis Run, but the route passes through non-aligned space where pirate attacks are common. While in theory it would be possible to route trade through the Trindel Confederacy, the Federation prefers not to pay passage fees. The risks inherent in the Gateway-Sardis route are outweighed in the mind of the Federation by the advantages of keeping foreign influences out of Federation trade.
