Eaaooastiei is a nonindustrial world, that requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society.
- In a technological universe, societies without industrial capability generally suffer as nearly all manufactured and high tech goods must be brought in at significant cost.
- As a nonindustrial world, it requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. The need to import most manufactured and high technology goods drives the price of these goods up in the open market.
- This world is part of the Aslan Hierate, as a world where multiple clans have split control of the planet, in the Ehrelew Subsector of Afawahisa Sector.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Stellar Data[edit]
Mainworld Data[edit]
The mainworld orbits with its north pole steeply inclined, such that it points along the orbital path, creating significant seasonal variations. This inhibits the development of life.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Eaaooastiei itself is unsuitable for large-scale habitation. However, the wider system sees a great deal of activity, all of which uses the commercial highport orbiting Eaaooastiei as a hub. The gas giant moons, rocky planets, and planetoid belt are all extensively mined, with in-system ore freighters and factories at extraction sites operated by many Aslan clans. As such, while the mainworld carries a Non-Industrial trade code, the system as a whole is a centre of industry.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Eaaooastiei has a Class E Starport, a frontier quality installation with few expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of a downport.
World Population (P)[edit]
Eaaooastiei has a population of 600,000 sophonts (hundreds of thousands).
- This is a Nonindustrial World, too small to support the complete chain of production of most goods from start to finish.
- The system population is many times that of the mainworld.
- The population consists primarily of Aslan.
World Languages[edit]
- Trokh: The universal language of the modern Aslan monoculture.
- Aslan Languages: Note that some Aslan clans retain obscure or archaic languages for personal use in addition to Trokh.
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Eaaooastiei possesses a Technology Level of TL–9.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Fiber optics and satellite communication and data networks.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Early fusion power.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land: Ultra high-speed trains and early grav vehicles.
- Water: High efficiency sailcraft, multihulled seacraft, improved artificial gills.
- Air: Tiltrotorcraft, exotic VTOL's, PARWIG, and rocket-assisted suborbitals.
- Space: SSTO spacecraft, early military spacecraft (System Craft), and interstellar STL starships
- FTL: Prototype Jump Drive-1.
World Government (G)[edit]
Eaaooastiei has a Captive Government or Colony. The world is ruled by an external government, there is no self-rule. This is a colony or conquered area. The local government is an oligarchy appointed by, and answerable only to, the external government.
World Military[edit]
No information yet available.
World Law (L)[edit]
Eaaooastiei has a moderate level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. Personal concealable firearms, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
