Description

The TAS offers a much reduced service beyond the borders of the Regency. All members outside the Domain of Deneb were required to re-confirm membership, in person, at an open branch by 001-1133 or their membership was deemed to have lapsed. Members resident on Abandoned Worlds will still be able to access full services at their nearest branch.

History and Background

Organisational Change & Financial Note

The TAS in the Regency declared the Imperial holding company defunct in 1132 and a new Joint-Venture between the three sectors (Spinward Marches, Deneb and Trojan Reach) was created at that time. There was no challenge to the winding-up order in the courts. Assets were divided between the three sectors and invested in the new joint venture. The TAS has subsequently expanded into those worlds incorporated into the Regency in the Reft Sector.

The TAS declared a substantial write-off in each of the years 1132 to 1136 due to the loss of assets on the Abandoned Worlds.

Khouth Subsector

The TAS in the Khouth Subsector all but collapsed as an inter-stellar organisation when the Dzarrgh Federate and Irrgh Manifest swept through in 1117-1118. Each individual world's branch (if any) converted to a locally managed and internally funded Hotel and Entertainments business. All members in the subsector ceased to receive travel tickets at this time.

Million Subsector

The TAS in the Million Subsector lasted until 1136 and shut down in an orderly fashion. The branch of Gabrael converted to a normal hotel in a management buy-out. The remaining branches in Imperial territory closed as part of the Abandonment. The only remaining branches are in the United Followers of Augurgh. Members access to travel tickets remains, if they can get access to an open branch to collect them. They are held open for 56 imperial calendar days from date of issue (excluding Holiday).
