Campaign:BTC/Khouth Orbital State Museum
Description[edit]
Khouth Orbital State Museum specialises in objects collected by the Duchy of Khouth and its predecessor states during the Long Night. The Khouth Orbital State Museum was patronised by the Duchy of Khouth for centuries.
The Khouth Orbital State Museum had a close relationship with the University of Khouth and other regional research institutions*. There were many outreach programmes to local Schools and Colleges and the Museum had an extensive program of Graduate and Post-Doctoral studies.
The Museum was famous for its collection of artifacts from the lost states on Serk and the early civilisations on Rrev Rigr. The Burial Robes of Uukagnedak Uunikgulida weighed in at nearly 1500kg just counting the gold content alone. The location of this priceless object was be of great interest to the Dzarrgh Federate as it had gone missing when they came to loot the building in 1119 - replaced with a card marked "Removed for Preservation".
Over the years the Museum has not been untouched by controversy. A chapter of the "Order of the White Star" fought with a company of Imperial Marines in the Philosophy Department during their dissolution in 824.

History[edit]
The Museum was created in -964 by Professor Gimi Kaadaakzashii and the Department of Education.
Khouth Orbital State Museum's collections were looted mercilessly by the Dzarrgh Federate in 1117 and 1118 for two reasons:
- Many of the items were intrinsically valuable
- Many items had been looted from Vargr cultures by the Imperium and the previous trade hegemonies based at Khouth
By 1135 the collection was very much reduced - although many items of cultural interest remained.
Looted Items[edit]
Almost anything small, valuable and portable was looted in between 1117 and 1118. Examples include the Droyne Coyn shown, stolen/looted/appropriated almost immediately. These have unusual patterning not seen on other collections. It seems unlikely such collections will be found intact.
