- It is a member world of the Hefrin Colony located in the Spinward Drift Subsector of the The Beyond Sector.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Mainworld Conditions[edit]
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
After siblings Joachim and Jennifer Hefrin arrived on Khiiszarbi in 745 to establish the United Spinward Worlds, they set up an additional colony on Bartinil.
World Starport[edit]
Bartinil has a Class D Starport, a poor quality installation which has few of the expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
World Government[edit]
Bartinil is governed by a Representative Democracy where government leadership is by representatives elected by eligible voters. What determines an eligible voter varies. The representatives determine policy, including selecting members of the bureaucracy. There can be referenda, votes by eligible voters on specific subjects.
Bartinil, with its minimal population, is usually represented in the United Spinward Worlds Congress by proxies from Eromnek.
Population[edit]
60
Military[edit]
Each member of the United Spinward Worlds (AKA Hefrin Colony) is authorised to raise a militia and close orbit defence force, but Bartinil's population is too small for this to have occurred.
