The Astramani are a nomadic technologically sophisticated Human Ethnic Group.
Description (Specifications)[edit]
The Astramani are a nomadic group of family owned and crewed, armed merchant freighters. According to Astramani legends, they originated during the Long Night when long-distance trade was dangerous and planet-bound corporations were reluctant to invest in risky interstellar enterprises. Many scholars believe they are descendants of defectors from mercantile endeavors during the many false "dawns" that occurred between -1000 and -700. Regardless, at some time before at founding of the Third Imperium, solitary Solomani merchant captains decided to forsake operating their ships out of permanent bases, and would jump from world to world, trading products, never staying in one place long, or following a regular pattern of trade routes
