Mainworld Data[edit]

Ashasi is a cold, close satellite of a gas giant one orbit outward from the habitable zone. It has a dense atmosphere and a pressure of 2.40 atm, making the outdoor environment toxic to Humans at sea-level, though it qualifies as breathable at higher elevations. Seas cover 50% of its surface and its surface gravity is 1.5 G.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

At 60 billion, this world has the highest population in the subsector.

Ashashi was the subject of a 'gold rush' during early Imperial expansion into Deneb Sector, after the discovery of large deposits of both basic and rare minerals. Some deposits were extensive, enabling large-scale extraction that opened up artificial caverns. These were extended and expanded, with structures built as both supports and living places. In time, the worked-out caverns were filled with people enjoying a good standard of living. These prosperous times continued for centuries, but eventually it became necessary to delve ever deeper to find viable deposits and production costs rose with each expansion. Ashasi enjoyed a brief renaissance based upon selling vast amounts of redundant mining and ore-processing equipment, but this money wasn't spent wisely.

Today, Ashasi is run-down and insular, its starport allowed to decay to the point where it is barely worthy of the name. The populace are kept in line by a combination of propaganda and force, with strict control of the job market and flow of consumer goods. Propaganda paints the situation as a difficult time that the world can get through if everyone pulls together, and vilifies dissidents as undermining the chances of recovery.

World Starport[edit]

Ashasi has a Class E Starport, a frontier quality installation with few expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of a downport.

World Population (P)[edit]

Ashasi has a population of 60,000,000,000 sophonts (tens of billions).

Urbanization[edit]

Ashasi's capital city and the site of the chief starport (or what is left of it) is Kuurzaka. Kuurzaka's main sections include a warehouse district, industrial centers, the Old City, the business district, and large numbers of arcologies.

  • Central Akhisa University
  • Dazekir Amphitheatre
  • Exurban Offices
    • Ashasi Planetary Technical College
  • Ladakmi Arcology
  • Siraba General Hospital

World Technology Level[edit]

Ashasi possesses a Technology Level of TL–11 or TL-B in Hexadecimal Notation.

World Government[edit]

Ashasi is governed by a Charismatic Dictatorship. Charismatic governments justify their ability to rule by simply asserting their right to rule. Charismatic dictatorships are typically young governments, coming as a recent change, and rely on the leader(s) to supply head of government.

World Economy[edit]

No information yet available.

Trade Data[edit]

Seafood exports from Kennebec are shipped to markets on Ashasi to be sold.
