Aldrin is a ring of many small worldlets (planetoids AKA an "asteroid belt"), not capable of retaining an atmosphere or water, and nonindustrial in nature.
- These worldlets warrant hazardous environment precautions.
- Life in a vacuum requires great discipline. After all, it only takes one forgotten seal on a vacuum suit to spell death. Those who survive tend to be very methodically-minded and attentive to small detail.
- The worldlets require extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. Having to import most manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world.
- It is a member of the Mische Conglomerate in the Ostermann Subsector of Crucis Margin Sector.
Description[edit]
No information yet available.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
An asteroid mining operation in the Aldrin System operated in conjunction with refining stations at Ewa; this corporate endeavour was the genesis of the Mische Conglomerate.
World Starport (Sp)[edit]
Aldrin has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
World Languages[edit]
The primary language is Galian. Secondary languages include Anglic and Vilani (language).
World Culture[edit]
This world is part of the Mische Conglomerate. The nation's societal organization assigns families to a semi-rigid class system. Family status and class position largely determine a person's place in the Mische corporate structure, though it is possible for someone to rise above their class status by exceptional action or merit.
