Akigir has an ideal environment for producing agricultural goods and a balanced population between 10 and 100 million. The world has a colony on Giarkhesa (Dagudashaag 1027). It is a member of Third Imperium in the Remnants Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Domain of Vland. Akigir, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight (the Imperial representative to the world) and the fiefdoms of a baron and a minor duke. All three are members of the Imperial Landed Nobility who oversee affairs regarding the world at an Interstellar and Imperial level. This world contains an Imperial Scout Base, capable of handling Scout Service starships and personnel. During the Long Night this world was named Endgaiish.

History and Background

Akigir is the jewel of Remnants, an agricultural gold mine and haven for the wealthy. This world has become the center of attention for the subsector. Its favorable climate and productive soils have attracted all of the local rich and large-scale farmers. Most of the best land has been bought up by large companies which lease land at what is normally exorbitant rates. This has led Akigir to take on an exclusive air where importance is now equated to the area of land one can buy or even afford to rent.

Travellers should expect to be hassled by the local police if they don't look rich.

The Gateway system acts as a trans-shipment point for dozens of multi-kiloton agriproduct bulk carriers travelling weekly to Argi from this world.

World Starport (St)

Akigir has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
