Description / Specifications
Planets possess a vast variety of identifying characteristics and can be categorized in many different ways. Some of the most common ways include: size, composition, and exotic nature.
Basic Planetary Types (Composition)
- Terrestrial (rockball)
- Jovian (gas ball)
- Cthonian (ice ball)
Type | Nickname | Composition | Remarks |
---|---|---|---|
Terrestrial | Rock Ball | Mostly solids & liquids. | A plurality of habitable and inhabitable worlds. |
Jovian | Gas Ball | Mostly gases. | Typically Gas Giants. |
Borean | Ice Ball | Mostly ice & solids. | Typically frozen and/ or vacuum. |
Basic Planetary Types (Size)
- Tiny World (Dwarf World, Planetesimal, Planetoid, etc.)
- Small World (Planetoid, Protoplanet, etc.)
- Meso World (Mesoplanet)
- Macro World
- Big World
- Gas Giant
