457-973 is a preindustrial hellworld with a population struggling to survive in an inhospitable environment.

Description (Planetology)

The Pelousians are native to 457-973.

History & Background (Dossier)

457-973 is interdicted by the Imperial Interstellar Scout Service to protect the Pelosians — a local developing race — from exploitation.

  • A small human population studies the race from a remote underground installation.

By the Regency era this world was known as Pelouse.

  • The name is a lyrical translation of the native race's name for their world, which means "lawn."
