Kfoersarsaz is a low-population, nonindustrial world with a population of less than 10,000 sophonts in size.
- As a nonindustrial world, It requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society.
- It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by Vargr sophonts located in the Zanvo Subsector of Angfutsag Sector.
Description / Astrography & Planetology
Kfoersarsaz (KFOR-sar-saz) is a Close Satellite planet (one of four), orbiting the only Habitable Zone, Large Gas Giant (T) in the inner system. This world is the result of a failed Roth Thokken-Suedzuk corporate colonization attempt in 1095; failed due to a local fauna siege upon the assembled Downport. Thanks to Tech Level 9 contragravity vehicles, the survivors of the siege were able to lift in spacecraft but all starships either escaped or failed to lift and are now derelicts on the overgrown surface. The five Vargr survivors make forays to the planet surface from the highest peaks in grav vehicles, transmit distress calls, and await evacuation from Kfoersarsaz.
Stellar Data
System Data
The Kfoersarsaz system primary is a main sequence F-type star that has captured a M8 Red Dwarf and its nearby Large Gas Giant with three moons. The smaller system has settled into Orbit 11 but pulverized the former planet in Orbit 10 in its capture and pulses from the Dwarf. The planet became the metallic planetoid belt in that orbit. Two other carbonaceous belts drew the attentions of corporate mining entities but never began operations due to the siege on the mainworld. Two other Large Gas Giants, sized V and R, have two and four satellites each respectively. The Radworld in Orbit 3 features a thin ice ring. Various other satellites accompany the inner planets, Large Gas Giants and two planetoids attend the Iceworld in Orbit 17. Orbits 0, 7 and 12 through 16 are unoccupied.

- Orbit 10 Planetoid Belt – M
- Orbit 11 M8 Red Dwarf star
- Large Gas Giant – S, .8G, (larger than Saturn, smaller than Jupiter) and three satellites
- Orbits 12 through 16 unoccupied
- Orbit 17 Iceworld and two satellites
Mainworld Data
Kfoersarsaz is a Locked Close Satellite with a solar day of 40 hours and 5 minutes followed by a night time of the same duration. The mainworld attracted the corporate settlers because of an approximated Resources rating of G or 16. But Infrastructure and Efficiency were never measured before the planetary fauna struck the colony. The last remaining survivors refuel their spacecraft and gravity vehicles with water from the hydrosphere, ice from the polar icecaps or by lifting to the mainworld’s host Gas Giant. Without jump capability, they are stranded in-system amongst a treasure of natural resources.

History & Background / Dossier
On the edge of explored space in the Vargr Enclaves, Kfoersarsaz is two parsecs from Daeathae (Angfutsag 0436). The high mountain peaks thin the atmosphere at middling altitudes to a comfortable pressure, lighter and cooler than the Dense atmosphere at the 40% hydrosphere level. The remnant Downport remains but is overgrown with trees, vines, bushes and grasses where the pavement could be breached. Unclaimed by any pocket empire, the corporation that failed to protect its investment has written off its colony.
World Starport
Kfoersarsaz has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
World Technology Level
Kfoersarsaz possesses a Technology Level of TL–0.
- These worlds often contain a Proto-Sophont species beginning to establish a nascent civilization and society.
- This world is in its Alpha Period and has not yet been interfered with by a higher technology civilization.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Bodily communicative apparati, courier-runners, and smoke signals.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Bodily muscle.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land: Bodily locomotion, riding beasts, and litters or sedan chairs.
- Water: Swimming, rafts, and canoes.
- Air: Typically not available unless a bodily ability.
World Government
Kfoersarsaz has no central government or substantial government apparatus; an Anarchy. The largest governmental structure would be a family, tribe, or single clan. The largest group will be between 50 and 100 individuals, and there may be dozens to hundreds of them. This governmental structure can be stable over long periods of time if the population remains small or geographically separated.
