History & Background (Dossier)
Part of the Geonee Core.
In -190 a collection of Geonee representatives met at Prindee and declared the Second Geonee Confederation. This government was born as an agreement between the dominant classes of the three surviving Geonee worlds: the high-ranking bureaucrats of Hiponee, the industrialist backers of Lagna’s dictatorship, and the Meeralo Council of Shiwonee.
A few decades later, a bloody civil war at Hiponee ended with the use of nuclear weapons, nearly wiping out the population. The Confederation made the radical decision to deport all survivors to the inhospitable world of Dreva, subsequently reserving once-heavenly Hiponee for the nobility.
Imperial High (Landed) Nobility
Hiponee, as a member world of the Third Imperium has a member of the Imperial Landed Nobility who acts as an Imperial representative to the world.
