The League of Asclepius is a medicracy. Positions of power and authority are held by doctors, physicians and other medical staff.

The medical abilities and capabilities of the League are far in advance of anything within the Distant Fringe.

It lies on the edge of the Greater Samardin Cluster, close to the Ion Gate region between the Emerald Drift Shadow Rift and the Great Void.

It contains the origin system of the signal RSS Pe1517.
