This class is built to carry a powerful factor R meson gun in a smaller cruiser hull. Offensive is favored over defense and survivability is an afterthought. The inexpensive close structure hull is capable of wilderness gas giant refueling with scoops and fuel purification equipment, yet lacks even basic armor plating. Defense is limited to ninety triple sand caster turrets, excellent meson and nuclear dampers (with redundant units), and a pair of repulsor bays. Fleet command reasoning was that armor is useless against meson weapons, and meson weapons kill most ships, so why carry any. A pair of powerful Model/9 fib computers ensure one shot kill targeting ability, which was seen as the best, "proactive" defense. The rest of the available space is crammed full of weapon systems. There are ninety triple beam laser turrets, and ninety dual fusion gun turrets for point defense. There are a pair of particle accelerator bays and fourteen missile bays. Under-powered, it is virtually a strike cruiser with jump 5 range and 5 G acceleration, but has no agility. It is not intended as a multi-role ship and lacks marines and fighters. A single 50 ton cutter is the only utility vessel.

Twelve of these hitmen serve in the famous 991st CruRon anchored at Riimsha (world).
