  • Ships from Exploratory Mission Number 315 arrived and charted Antares. They found no life, but the world had extensive resources including iron and dialuminium.
• -1888
  • Sent without any Imperial designation or approval, colony ships arrived from Antares and commenced building a exploration base. The world was initially named New Antares, but the 'New' prefix was soon dropped.

World starport

Antares has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
