The star Alpha Indi is a yellow-orange star of spectral type K0 that is in the process of competing its evolution off of the main sequence and onto the giant branch as its core hydrogen fuel is exhausted.

  • It is possible that Alpha Indi might have two M-type companion stars, each located at least 2000 AUs from the primary.

  • The Alpha Indi star system lies approximately 30.1pc from Terra, and is located in a Coreward/Coretrailing direction from Terra at bearing 352.6o Galactic Longitude and -37.2o South Galactic Latitude.

Alpha Indi is the primary star of the world Boskone/Esperance (Solomani Rim 1214).
