Description / Specifications
It is named for the Abbot system (1337 Bourne), the furthest spinward-coreward point within the Distant Fringe proper that it is possible to reach using conventional vessels.
A narrow corridor of stars crossing the spinward-coreward edge of Course Sector. It connects Xelan Subsector in Far Home Sector to Nabile Subsector, subsector N of Bourne Sector. It is an extension of the Ragol Drift, a trace of stars running through the coreward part of Course Sector.
History & Background / Dossier
The Nabile system (1634 Bourne) is considered to be the final link on the Desolate Path, the route taken by Last Armada as it fled the Destruction of Terra.
The Abbot system (1337 Bourne) is the point where the Last Armada entered the Distant Fringe proper around 2254AD.
The Department of Early History of the University of Tal Varisa funded the construction of the Nabile Deep Space Fuel Cache, located in hex (1535 Bourne).
