Gulishi is an icy vacuum world with little or no atmosphere and a significant quantity of water frozen on the surface. The system supports a population of fewer than 10,000 sophonts. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Laraa Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Domain of Vland. Gulishi, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight, a member of the Imperial Landed Nobility who acts as an Imperial representative to the world. This world contains an Imperial Scout Base, capable of handling Scout Service starships and personnel. During the Long Night this world was named Aashlas Iidka.

All surface water is in the form of ice.

Gulishi has been exploited for its mineral wealth by DagMet AG, who are strip mining the naturally occurring mineral bounty from the surface of the world and exporting it. The huge mining pits are visible on the surface from a range of many millions of miles.

History and Background

In 982 a small ice-burrowing creature was discovered in the planetary ice cap and a scout base was established to study the newly discovered lifeform. DagMet appealed the decision, claiming that the creature wasn't native and had been planted to enable others to conduct industrial espionage against them. However Duke Mardan of Uumirsa (Dagudashaag 3032) denied the appeal and the scout base has been there ever since.
