Shaakhish is a vacuum world, with no atmosphere or hydrosphere. The system supports a population of fewer than 10,000 sophonts. This world is a satellite of a gas giant or another planet in the system. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Sapphyre Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Domain of Vland. Shaakhish, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight, a member of the Imperial Landed Nobility who acts as an Imperial representative to the world. This world contains an Imperial Scout Base, capable of handling Scout Service starships and personnel. During the Long Night this world was named Eniir.

	Remarks

History and Background

A small, low-grade colony consisting of three domes almost equally spaced around the equator of one of the largest satellites in the system. This world has little to recommend it.

It is the birthplace of Lorna Beldshander, actress and singer, whose endeavors are today considered to constitute some of the best Holopics of the 1040s. This is Shaakhish's only real claim to fame.

World Starport (St)

Shaakhish has a Class D Starport, a poor quality installation which has few of the expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.

Urbanization

Settlement consists of three domed cities, connected by a covered monorail system. Either side of the tracks are long hydroponics chambers where Akivan algae is cultivated before being processed into acaik, the primary food eaten by the majority of locals throughout their lives.

World Economy

Shaakhish, despite its lack of natural resources, has managed to become self-sufficient, though most locals are forced by necessity to live a life of virtual poverty.
