The Imperial Trade Cluster is a twelve system main located in the Diamond-Prince Subsector of Ley Sector. The cluster was known as the Far End Cluster until 992, when Archduke Marcus Aaron Erechs transferred the capital of the Domain of Gateway from Dukh/Nightmare (Ley 1210) to Annapabar/Diamond-Prince (Ley 1936), in part to encourage development in the cluster, which at the time was troubled by political instability and piracy.
In that same year, Erech established the Imperial Trade Cluster Authority to combat piracy and smuggling, and to better control the flow of ‘outworld’ cargoes and passengers into and out of the Imperium at large. Any and all cargo originating from or destined for a non-Imperial or Client State world must be inspected and certified by an Imperial Trade Cluster Authority inspection point, at any Class-A or Class-B starport within the main.
