The Zhurphani of Yori (Spinward Marches 2110) are a technologically sophisticated Minor Race with a Non-humanoid appearance. There are three subspecies, all descending from the ancestral Zur people.

Physiology & Environment (Ecology)

The Zhurphani are two-meter-tall bipedal omnivores. They weigh from 40 to 150 kilograms and have two arms. They have two eyes in the front of their head with two ears above and a many-toothed mouth below. They can see in both the Human-visible wavelengths and in infrared.

Zhurphani appear to be vaguely reptilian but are actually warm-blooded.

History & Background (Dossier)

The three branches of Zhurphani -- the Yrii Zur -- diverged from the parent sophont species recently (within the last few hundred thousand years). The parent species, the Zur, created a wide-spanning network of cities which controlled the planet's dwindling water supply. Long after that civilization's spires had become dusty ruins, the species diverged to accommodate to the evolving climate zones of Yori.
