Orbit Distance Images are diagrams showing the position of a world in relation to the stars habitable zone.

Description / Specifications

A simple diagram intended to show the position of a world relative to its primary star and the habitable zone.

• The depiction of the star in the diagram is purely representative.
• It is generic - it does not reflect the actual color of the primary.

Usage

In order to use these images, edit the section containing the image and copy the appropriate line of data for the image.

Paste the whole line of data into your article.

Alternatively, open the image, copy the name, and use it within the Image Size format shown below.

Image Size

These images are intended to be displayed at a set size - 600 pixels wide (about 6 inches, or 15 cm).

This is achieved by using the following format (though be aware, not all images are jpgs):

The uploaded images are larger, allowing the referee to scale them to taste by using different "px" values in the line above.

World Orbits

Used for the majority of worlds.

Satellite World Orbits

Typically used for worlds that are satellites of gas giants.

• They can also be used to depict the orbit of binary worlds or worlds with significant moons.

Asteroid Belt Orbits

Used for asteroid belts or planetoid belts.

Companion Star Orbits

Used for companion stars in binary, trinary or quaternary systems with unusual orbital distances.
