The Quorra class CAS Plane is a combatant Aircraft.

It is a military vehicle and is used for close air support and to insert small units of airborne commandos.
It was commissioned and designed for Bezik Dragoon Guards Regiment.

Description (Specifications)[edit]

Quorra class CAS Plane (TECH LEVEL 5) used by the conscripted occupational force known as the Bezik Dragoon Guards Regiment: The vehicle has a crew of 3, a pilot, co-pilot/radio operator, and a tail gunner/crew chief in two simple cockpits and a crew station. It can carry 12 passengers, usually airborne commandos fitted with parachutes. Equipped with simple controls in a simple airframe. It can carry (12) 250kg HE bombs between its two underwing bomb racks. It carries two forward firing 2cm single barreled, high velocity, gas operated autocannons, one in the leading edge of each wing. The tail gunner mans a quad turret with four MMGs.

There are two unstabilized air-cooled 2cm single barreled, high velocity, gas operated, autocannons firing forward from the leading edges of the wings. There are two bomb racks, one under each wing for six 250kg bombs. The typical load is (12) 250kg iron bomb with 30cm HE warheads 32/5/5. They cost Cr 750 each and a full load is included in the plane's price. However, occasionally a special munition which scatters 625 individual 0.4kg HE 1/-/- anti-personnel mines fitted with remote radio detonation command links, each mine costs 20.8Cr and the whole bomb is 13,000Cr and are sold separately.

The tail gunner's turret is fitted with four medium machine guns. Each medium machine gun can each engage 8 targets and has a +2 signature. There is onboard storage for 6,400 rounds, enough for 20 fire phases. The direct fire characteristics are:

These crude TL–5 propeller driven airplanes are designed as a jack of all trades, they function as light transports of a 12 man squad of airborne paratroopers, light bombers with three tons of heavy bombs, and attack planes with twin autocannon for strafing surface targets of opportunity. The lack of weapon stabilization means they must rely on their high rate of fire to compensate for the loss of accuracy when moving at full speed. Their impressive communication suite allows them to vector in on targets as the radio direction finder is usually used as a navigational aid to find a prepositioned radio beacon. The very powerful radio allows good, long range communication links and effective remote detonation of any mines it may scatter. Radio jammers are its bane. Custom adapted to the atmosphere of Bezik (world). Skilled forward observers are required to coordinate these planes for close air support.
