The Ion Gate is a region within Pestilent Sector where the Emerald Drift Shadow Rift joins the Great Void.
- It is a feature of the Empty Stars.
- It is an astrographic feature and a rift.
Details / Specifications
Around 15 parsecs coreward-rimward. Around 15 parsecs spinward-trailing.
History
The Ion Gate region was first charted by ultra-long-range scans performed by vessels from the Last Armada sometime around 2255AD. Its exact position and dimensions were plotted by the University of Tal Varisa Deep Sky Program between 5520AD and 5550AD.
