A high-population, heavily industrialized world in the Vilis Subsector of the Spinward Marches. Vilis has a cool climate and a dense oxygen-nitrogen atmosphere bearing industrial pollutant taint.
Vilis was originally settled by Sword Worlders from Morglay (Gungnir), who named it Svavasorm. Vilis became a client state of the Imperium in 470 and a full member in 552.
The main exports of Vilis include warships, weaponry, and high-technology goods. Vilis shipyards operate under a Imperial contract to produce patrol cruisers and a larger class of frontier destroyer for the open market.
