The Fenris class Dreadnought is a warship.
- It is a military ship and a Dreadnought.
Description (Specifications)
The Fenris class Dreadnought is a TL–12 heavily armored, partially streamlined sphere configuration hull. This dreadnought class is equipped for jump 2 range and 5 G acceleration and 2 agility. It carries enough fuel internally for a single jump 2. They carry a pair of model 6 fib computers adjacent to the bridge.
For defense, there are twenty batteries of triple sand caster batteries, and four repulsor bays. There is factor 12 hull armor cladding to defend against critical hits. It is equipped with fuel scoops and fuel purification for gas giant wilderness refueling. It can carry ten 50 ton Cutters for ship to surface operations. For offense, there are forty batteries of triple beam laser turrets, fifty missile bays and four particle accelerator bays. Two fighter squadrons provide combat space patrols, to screen versus enemy fighters and missile strikes. The marine battalion can deploy from meteoric orbital assault and is recovered by the cutters.
The 2,800,000 cubic meter hull requires 224 months singly and 180 months in quantity for construction time. These hulls were involved in a recent expansion of fleet operations, and a great boon in new ship building and a rapid expansion of the fleet. The computer technology limits the vessel's size and the meson spinal mount is considered the most powerful available on the Distant Fringe.
Basic Ship Characteristics
Following the IISS Universal Ship Profile and data, additional information is presented in the format shown here. The small craft factor indicates the number of squadrons (of ten craft) carried on the ship. Tonnage on the universal ship profile is shown in kilotons (thousands of tons) where necessary. [1]

History & Background (Dossier)
This is the flagship of the Wolf (world) Navy under the auspices of the Wolf Joint Military Command. The Fenris leads the first battle squadron of the fleet. Hard to hurt, but not particularly hard to hit. It can bulldoze through most enemy lines of battle. The defensive mindset means it carries less fuel and has less range than the more numerous Pador class Dreadnoughts, but a larger marine compliment and more defensive systems. It serves to anchor the defense and deterrence mission of the Wolf System Navy and patrols in the Paradise Subsector. WSS Fenris carries a massive number of heavy missile bays, and as a result some internal fuel supply was lost, curtailing their operational range, without tanker support.
