Magada is an icy, low-population world, with a population of less than 10,000 sophonts, warranting hazardous environment precautions.
- Its surface is ice-capped with nearly all of its water frozen.
- It is a member of the Firstworlds in the Esqua Subsector of Far Home Sector.

System data
The primary is Ballan, an ordinary red main sequence star. It has a luminosity of 0.0202 Sols, a mass of 0.3942 Sols, and a diameter of 604,000 km. (I) a rocky vacuum world, (II) an exotic atmosphere world, and (III) an icy vacuum world form the outer system. None of the worlds retain satellites.
The companion is Orith, a dim red main sequence star. It orbits Ballan at 3 AU (449.2 million km). It has a luminosity of 0.007 Sols, a mass of 0.331 Sols, and a diameter of 498,000 km. (I, II) two icy vacuum worlds, and (III) Ramuka, a large gas giant, form the outer system: (IIIc) Magada is its largest satellite and is designated the mainworld. No other world retains satellites.
(III) Ramuka
(III) Ramuka is a large gas giant that orbits Orith at a mean distance of 0.68 AU (101.7 million km) and has an orbital period of 356 days. It has a diameter of 212,000km and is a faintly banded pale green colour. It retains a family of five major satellites of which the third, (IIIc) Magada, is designated the mainworld.
(IIIc) Magada
(IIIc) Magada is designated the mainworld and orbits Ramuka at a mean distance 35 diameters (7.42 million km), within the habitable zone. It has an orbital period of 3 years 133 hours and a rotation period of 65 hours. The axial tilt is 3 degrees. Magada has a diameter of 6,217 km, a density of 4.65 g/cm³, and a surface gravity of 0.41 G. The world is flexed by tidal stresses and is geologically active. Its atmosphere is rated as Trace, with a mean surface pressure of 0.04 bar and a composition of 99% nitrogen and 1% water, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, methane and other trace gases. Approximately 11% of the surface is covered in water-ice. Mean surface temperature: -205°C.

World starport
Magada has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which features amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
World technology level
Magada possesses a Technology Level of TL–9.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Fiber optics and satellite communication and data networks.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Early fusion power.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land: Ultra high-speed trains and early grav vehicles.
- Water: High efficiency sailcraft, multihulled seacraft, improved artificial gills.
- Air: Tiltrotorcraft, exotic VTOL's, PARWIG, and rocket-assisted suborbitals.
- Space: SSTO spacecraft, early military spacecraft (System Craft), and interstellar STL starships
- FTL: Prototype Jump Drive-1.
World government
Magada has no central government or substantial government apparatus; an Anarchy. The largest governmental structure would be a family, tribe, or single clan. The largest group will be between 50 and 100 individuals, and there may be dozens to hundreds of them. This governmental structure can be stable over long periods of time if the population remains small or geographically separated.
