The ODSFC consists of three 40,000 dTon Heavy Tankers, a 6000 dTon Light Liner, and a 3500 dTon Commercial Tender tethered together at the center of a sphere of locator beacons. All of the vessels were at the end of their working lives when they were purchased and none are jump-capable. Their interior jump drive components have been stripped out and converted to useable interior space, while their jump-drive tankage has been added to the overall fuel holding capacity.

The ODSFC, located in hex (1937 Halcyon) within the Great Void. A deep-space Calibration Point that was constructed to allow access to the remote Sarunt system (1939 Halcyon), the homeworld of the Treehangers. The species are reclusive and reluctant to trade, and the majority of ships passing through the ODSFC are research vessels from the University of Selasia.
