Susanawo is a nonindustrial water world, which has 90% or more of its surface covered in an ocean of water.
- The inhabitants of this world live on the roughly 10% of exposed land mass, in underwater colonies, on city ships, or similar arrangements.
- As a nonindustrial world, it requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. The need to import most manufactured and high technology goods drives the price of these goods up in the open market.
- This is a "low technology" world with technology competencies well below standard for Charted Space.
- A Prison World, exile camp, or prison camp for criminals or other exiles is located upon this world in addition to other points of interest.
- It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Gazulin Subsector of Trojan Reach Sector in the Domain of Deneb.
Description (Planetology)
Susanawo is notorious for its megastorms, so intense they have caused mass extinctions.
- The few inhabitants live in tunnels and caves to escape the enslaught.
- The storms are the result of massive ongoing volcanic activity throwing dust and heat into the air, and the planet’s eccentric orbit.
- The Great Storm covers a fifth of the planet’s surface and has circled the globe once every four months for the last two centuries.
History & Background (Dossier)
