There is a rich, diverse biosphere on this world. The red star is so dim, the best coloration for photosynthetic autotrophs is very dark, near black. The photosensitive pigments and catalysts are not green. Many of the native organisms are sensitive to infrared, and have red and black, often striped camouflage.

The vast oceans are home to a complex variety of spectacular organisms. The knight and his local staff, maintain and protect this natural wonderland.
