• As an agricultural world, this world is a near-ideal environment for producing quality foodstuffs of plant, animal, and other forms. Quality foodstuffs are a major export commodity for this world.
• It requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. Having to import most manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world.
• This is a "forbidden" world designated as a Red Zone with an environment, laws, customs, life forms, or other conditions that make it extremely dangerous to visitors. Everyone is forbidden to travel here.
• This is a "low technology" world with technology competencies well below standard for Charted Space.
• It is a member of the Solomani Confederation in the Vald Subsector of Alpha Crucis Sector.

History & Background (Dossier)

Delin is a low-tech agricultural world located in Vald Subsector of Alpha Crucis Sector.

• The system is a member of the Solomani Confederation and has been assigned a Red Zone travel advisory.
• The inhabitants of Delin are the descendents of survivors from a Terran sleeper ship that crashed around -2400, carrying a group of émigrés from Wales. During the Long Night the population grew but the society dropped back to TL 3. The small farming colony was rediscovered in the 850s.
• Today Delin is perhaps the only world in the Confederation where the nearly extinct Terran language of Welsh survives. Delin has been interdicted by request of the Solomani Confederation’s Ministries of Information and Genetics in order to protect a unique Terran culture and language of the inhabitants and to better preserve its genetic heritage.
