Askaath is a pre-agricultural, moderate population rich garden world with over a hundred million, but not yet a billion sophonts.

- Its economy and population are rapidly growing and living conditions are expected to quickly rise barring outside forces.
- This is a "Puzzle" world designated as an Amber Zone. Caution is advised since the world has an environment, laws, customs, life forms, or other conditions that are not well understood and might be a danger to a visitor.
- This is a temperate world, with a climate of pleasant, average temperatures, considered to be an ideal or near-ideal environment by many different sophont species.
- It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Gimushi Subsector of Empty Quarter Sector in the Domain of Antares.

Askaath has become a major port of call, with a much higher population and technological level than was the case 200 years ago.
Imperial High (Landed) Nobility
Askaath, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial Landed Knight who acts as an Imperial representative to the world, and the estate and fiefdoms of three members of the Imperial Landed Nobility, who oversee affairs regarding the world at an Interstellar and Imperial level.

- It holds the estate of an Imperial baronet.
- It holds the fiefdom of an Imperial baron.

Askaath is seen as a paradise playground for the rich.
- While landing on the planet is no more difficult than most other worlds, customs searches are always thorough.
- This is combined with tight laws restricting what is allowed to be imported.
- Property costs are incredibly high with a small house costing megacredits.
- No heavy industry is allowed on the planet although several luxury foodstuffs and woods are available.
- There is also quite a large and successful entertainment industry.
