Tyrrhenum is a nonindustrial water world, which has 90% or more of its surface covered in an ocean of water.
- The inhabitants of this world live on the roughly 10% of exposed land mass, in underwater colonies, on city ships, or similar arrangements.
- As a nonindustrial world, it requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. The need to import most manufactured and high technology goods drives the price of these goods up in the open market.
- It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Outback Subsector of Daibei Sector in the Domain of Ilelish.
- This world is controlled from nearby Tremor (Daibei Outback).
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
The world is part of the Tremor Corridor.
Stellar Data[edit]
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
World Starport (Sp)[edit]
Tyrrhenum has a Class D Starport, a poor quality installation which has few of the expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
World Languages[edit]
- Core Anglic: One of the principal dialects of one of the two official languages of the Third Imperium. Daibei's Core Anglic is also influenced by Rim Anglic.
- Vilani: One of the two official languages of the Third Imperium.
World Government[edit]
Tyrrhenum has a Captive Government or Colony. The world is ruled by an external government, there is no self-rule. This is a colony or conquered area. The local government is an oligarchy appointed by, and answerable only to, the external government.
Governance of this world is from Tremor.
