Lemimamur is a fluid world with an oceanic geography of a liquid other than water such as ammonia, methane, hydrocarbons, or other exotic liquids. The system supports a population of fewer than 10,000 sophonts. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Remnants Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Amec Trade Protectorate and the Domain of Vland. Lemimamur, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight, a member of the Imperial Nobility charged with overseeing the world. This world contains an Imperial Scout Base, capable of handling Scout Service starships and personnel. During the Long Night this world was named Nelek. The Nahuatl name of the world is Xocoytlpanec.

Astrography and planetology

Lemimamur is a member of the Nimluin Cluster.

The alternative fluid of the world's hydographic percentage is hydrogen peroxide. This is a strong bleaching agent.

Native Lifeform: Bioresistant Plant Life

This bizarre world is home to some of known space's strangest plant life. In addition to the fact that they have adapted to living on hydrogen peroxide instead of water, the species have adapted to fill every niche available, including a number of airborne plant life that use their long trailing tendrils to soak up moisture from the atmosphere.

The Semaphore Tree for example deliberately moves its branches to imitate small lizards moving through its foliage in order to attract predators in so as to use them as a means of spreading their pollen and seeds and the Resurrection Bush can survive being immersed under rivers of hydro peroxide, in some cases for centuries, until the acid dries up and the bush can resuscitate itself, flower and propagate itself before being submerged again.

History and background

Most of the drugs extracted from the plant life are anaesthetic or narcotic in nature. The research bases have become the target for raids by both rival corporations as well as criminal elements.

United MediTech Industries.jpg

Much of the plant life is also useful medically and a number of companies have established research stations on Lemimamur. The largest of these companies is United MediTech Industries, which has leased the world from the Amec Trade Protectorate until 1120. UMTi has licensed the other companies to engage in the research for a percentage of profits from the discoveries. The research base accounts for half of the permanent population on the world.

World Starport (Sp)

Lemimamur has a Class D Starport, a poor quality installation which has few of the expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.

World Population (P)

Lemimamur has population of 300 sophonts (hundreds).

  • This is a Low Population World and the population would be too low to sustain itself without moderate outside assistance. This may represent a large transient population such as the crew of a fleet of starships, the dwindling remnants of a dying colony, a construction team building a new colony, or an outpost that could evolve into a colony.

World Languages

The planet's Nahuatl name is

Although the current Nahuatl designation is not official, it is included in order to assist travellers who may find it beneficial to use this planetary designation while travelling within the Federation. It is strongly recommended that visitors obtain a good quality translator MemClip prior to entering Federation space. INDISS produce a high quality Galanglic-Nahuatl two-way clip available from all good data libraries, price Cr. 150 rrp.

World Technology Level (T)

Lemimamur possesses a Technology Level of TL–8.

  • Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Fiber optics, improved telephones, and satellite communication and data networks.
  • Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Improved geothermal and improved batteries.
  • Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
    • Land: Advanced automobiles.
    • Water: Triphibians and early artificial gills.
    • Air: Improved helicopters and hypersonic jets.
    • Space: Space shuttles, early space stations, and improved interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).

World Government (G)

Lemimamur is governed by a Corporate Polity with a single corporation with a typical corporate structure as a government. A company town, or world. The typical corporate run world usually has a single purpose. Examples include mining, agriculture, or other kinds of resource extraction. But rather than a simple base of operations, there are facilities for housing workers and their families including hospitals, schools, and other infrastructure. How, or if, the children of the workers are incorporated into the workforce varies with companies. The corporation running the world may be a subsidiary of a larger interstellar corporation.

This world is controlled by United MediTech Industries.

World Law (L)

Lemimamur has no law in practice. It is an Anarchy. On many worlds, this by itself justifies an Amber Zone advisory. There are few laws, covering only important areas. There may be few or no law enforcement officers, the expectation is citizens will bring law breakers to the attention of the Judicial system. Legal proceedings will be fast, with few people involved. For interactions outside of the framework of the laws, cultural norms dominate.
